  Friendly service, had dinner twice on a weekday and was served within 5 minutes. The salmon was delicious. Came back for breakfast and enjoyed the coffee and muesli. Great views too

  The best steak ever. Cooked to perfection. Again. Local scallops and many other local treats makes Cafe Balaena my must go to in Hervey Bay.

  Came in for dinner today at 8.15pm, was given a table without a menu. Finally I got hold of the waiter at 8.20, who took another 10 minutes just to get me a menu.... a drinks menu. Would you like a food menu? Yes....I would. He then took a whole 5 minutes, to give me news that I was too late because the kitchen stops cooking at 8.30, and it is now 8.35.

  Every experience is always a lovely experience.. the stuff are always polite and the food is very well prepared and presented.. my family and I are regulars there and are headed down for dinner this evening can’t wait..

  I came here to wait at a table for 20 minutes for a damn menu, and only be told AFTER all that waiting that dinner is no longer served. Incompetent training and a huge waste of time. A pity because their food looks good.

  Staff were efficient and attentive. The view is delightful. The breakfast menu caught our attention as being different without pretentiousness (and turned out to be very tasty). They were accommodating of our pram. The coffee selection is worthy of a trendy Melbourne Cafe.
